Waste to Energy (W2E)
Nexus' W2D unit TRANSFORMs
WASTE HEAT INTO RESILIENT ELECTRICITY
The Waste to Energy (W2E) system is for companies looking to make use of valuable energy lost through their industrial processes. Heat generated by a wide-array of industrial processes is now able to be efficiently converted into a circular energy cycle through this scalable and modular system. Nexus’ W2E unit pays for itself in short order due to its proven efficiency and innovative design.
how W2E works
The W2E system consists of 40kW modules, scaled to match your energy needs, and adapted to your unique industry. This on-site solution can fit operations large and small, scalable up to 1 MW for larger installations. Each unit resides on-site and is optimized to provide the ideal heat-to-power ratio, increasing your energy resiliency and harnessing the power of wasted heat.
Our technology utilizes an advanced material absorption exchanger to transfer heat into organic fluid. The high-molecular organic fluid used to capture heat vaporizes and expands in an engine to produce electricity, and then condenses to close the loop. The resulting electricity is then used to power your machinery, facility, or surrounding area. W2E uses its advanced heat recovery exchangers to harvest the waste heat from industry, maritime, wastewater infrastructure and defense applications to generate clean, resilient, carbon-free, distributed electricity.
MACHINE LEARNING AND SMART IOT
W2E integrates Internet of Things enabled sensors and automation to provide optimized electricity generation. By integrating state-of-the-art machine learning for real-time data collection, the system is able to efficiently generate electricity based on variable heat inputs, resulting in optimized energy generation.
SUSTAINABLE, RENEWABLE, CARBON-FREE ENERGY
The W2E system has been tested and implemented for both land and sea, and applications range across a number of industries, including: maritime military and cargo vessels, power plants, waste and wastewater treatment facilities, geothermal installations, food and dairy processing plants, metal, cement and glass manufacturing, pulp/paper biomass, and many more.
This zero-emission, carbon-free technology allows for not only the cheapest on-site electricity production, but the additional benefit of qualifying for grants for abiding by LEED standards. Our product is designed uniquely and is scalable for each application in order to produce the most efficient electricity at the lowest cost. This product doesn’t rely on an energy grid so therefore it has increased energy resilience as well as direct on site, 24/7 energy generation.
